Dare to Pair? Super Bowl Wine Pairings
Shrimp Cocktail : Traminette : The hint of sweetness in the Traminette counterbalance the sweet/sour flavors of the cocktail sauce to make a perfect match!
Pigs in a blanket : Chardonnay Reserve : The buttery flavors of this classic appetizer are a perfect match to our creamy, yet slightly acidic, Chardonnay.
Hot Wings n' Blue cheese : Chambourcin or Chambourcin Reserve : This lighter red is earthy and has spicy characteristics that balance well with the wings and blue cheese.
BBQ Pulled Pork : Proprietor Reserve : This blend of Cabernet and Merlot has the tannins and the red fruit to stand up to this full flavored meat dish.
Beef Chili : Merlot Reserve or Merlot Chambourcin : If pairing with our Merlot reserve you will have a perfect amount of big body flavor and acidity to complete this super bowl classic dish. If you pair with the Merlot/ Chambourcin, you will have a lighter red with hints of spice that still has the acidity to soften the flavors of the beef chili making it a mouthwatering combination.
